The Palestine Red Crescent Society
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is a national humanitarian society that provides a wide range of health, social and other humanitarian services for the Palestinian people throughout the Middle East. In 1969 the Palestinian National Council (PNC) mandated the Society the responsibility for health and social services for Palestinian people inside and outside Palestine. PRCS continues its activities in Palestine (along side the Ministry of Health and other NGOs), Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, and other locations.
UNRWA
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) provides education, health, and relief and social services to 3.9 million registered Palestine refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, the Syrian Arab Republic, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA)
A nonprofit, charitable organization, ANERA is concerned with the long-term development needs of Palestinians, Lebanese and Jordanians. ANERA assists grassroots organizations to provide their communities with crucial health care and community services in addition to increasing employment and educational opportunities for deprived groups of people. Through an in-kind program, ANERA assists medical clinics and hospitals in meeting their annual requirements of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, and sends emergency shipments in times of conflict.Medical Aid for Palestine (MAP - Canada)
Medical Aid for Palestine, MAP Canada, was created with the aim of alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian civilian population. MAP Canada sought to provide a permanent structure to organise and mobilise efforts by various groups sharing the common objective of providing material support for Palestinians.
MAP Canada tries to focus its energies on giving help where its most urgently needed. Since the second Intifada (September 2000), MAP has directed its efforts toward children and adolescents in Palestine and South Lebanon.The Palestinian Relief & Development Fund
Interpal, the Palestinians Relief & Development Fund, is a non-political, non-profit making independent British registered charity (Reg. No. 1040094) based in London. It aims to support poor and needy Palestinians primarily in the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan and Lebanon. Interpal focuses on the following areas of work: humanitarian, health and medical, educational and community development. The Charity is managed and supervised by a Board of Trustees.Suggestions?
